🥣 Potato Soup Recipe (Serves 6)
A classic soup recipe that will be indispensable for your tables with its soft texture and satisfying flavor: Potato Soup. You will love this warming, practical and delicious recipe on cold days.
📝 Ingredients
- 4 medium potatoes
- 1 onion
- 1 clove of garlic (optional)
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 1 tablespoon of flour
- 5 cups of hot water (or meat/vegetable stock)
- 1 cup of milk or 1 pack of cream (200 ml)
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Grated nutmeg (optional)
👩🍳 Preparation
Preparation: Peel the potatoes and cut them into cubes. Chop the onion into small pieces, grate the garlic.
Sautéing: Put the butter in the pot, add the onions and fry until they turn pink. Then add the garlic.
Add the flour: Add 1 tablespoon of flour and fry until the smell comes out.
Add potatoes: Add diced potatoes and fry for a few minutes.
Add liquid: Add hot water (or meat/vegetable stock). Cook on medium heat for about 20-25 minutes until potatoes are tender.
Blender stage: Once soup is cooked, blend with a hand blender until smooth.
Smoothing: Add milk or cream and boil for another minute. Add salt, pepper and optionally grated nutmeg.
Serving: Serve hot. You can drizzle mint or red pepper roasted in butter on top.
