📝 Ingredients

  • 4 medium potatoes
  • 1 onion
  • 1 clove of garlic (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 tablespoon of flour
  • 5 cups of hot water (or meat/vegetable stock)
  • 1 cup of milk or 1 pack of cream (200 ml)
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Grated nutmeg (optional)

  1. Preparation: Peel the potatoes and cut them into cubes. Chop the onion into small pieces, grate the garlic.

  2. Sautéing: Put the butter in the pot, add the onions and fry until they turn pink. Then add the garlic.

  3. Add the flour: Add 1 tablespoon of flour and fry until the smell comes out.

  4. Add potatoes: Add diced potatoes and fry for a few minutes.

  5. Add liquid: Add hot water (or meat/vegetable stock). Cook on medium heat for about 20-25 minutes until potatoes are tender.

  6. Blender stage: Once soup is cooked, blend with a hand blender until smooth.

  7. Smoothing: Add milk or cream and boil for another minute. Add salt, pepper and optionally grated nutmeg.

  8. Serving: Serve hot. You can drizzle mint or red pepper roasted in butter on top.
