🍅 Tomato Soup Recipe (For 6 People)

Classic and practical tomato soup recipe, this time measured for 6 people. You can add flavor to your table by serving it with kashar cheese and croutons.

📝 Ingredients (for 6 people)

  • 3 tablespoons butter (or 1.5 tablespoons olive oil + 1.5 tablespoons butter)
  • 1.5 tablespoons flour
  • 6 grated tomatoes (or 3 cups grated tomatoes)
  • 1.5 tablespoons tomato paste (optional)
  • 6 cups hot water or meat/chicken stock
  • Salt
  • Black pepper

🧀 For serving

  • Grated cheddar cheese
  • Toasted bread/croutons

👩‍🍳 How to make

  1. Melt the butter. Melt the oil in a pot.

  2. Fry the flour. Add the flour and fry until it smells (be careful not to burn it).

  3. Add tomatoes and tomato paste. Add grated tomatoes and tomato paste to the pot, cook for a few minutes.

  4. Add liquid. Add hot water little by little, stirring to prevent clumping.

  5. Boil. Cook on medium heat until boiling, then continue to boil on low heat for 10-15 minutes.

  6. Put through a blender (optional). Use a hand blender if you wish for a smooth consistency.

  7. Season with salt and pepper. Finally, add the spices, mix and serve.


🍽 Serving Suggestion

Serve hot, sprinkle plenty of kashar cheese on top. It would be great served with toasted bread or croutons.
